Warrior Williams impresses in Cardiff Blues win

Warriors Women fly-half Millie Williams guided Cardiff Blues Women to a 48-7 win in the second round of the Welsh Regional Women’s Championships.

Williams was one of five changes Blues coach Darren Bool made to his side after their round one defeat to Scarlets and she made an immediate impact, scoring the first try of the game after five minutes.

Cardiff ran in eight tries in all and moved above Scarlets to second in the table.

Ospreys currently top the table with Warriors’ Angharad de Smet helping them to a 14-0 win over Scarlets.

De Smet started at centre for Ospreys, while her Warriors team-mates Caitlin Lewis and Sinoed Harries joined Alex Callender in the Scarlets XV.

The trio take on bottom side RGC in Round Three, while de Smet could come up against Williams when Ospreys face Cardiff.
