Former Warriors wing Nick Baxter has become official recruitment supplier to the Gallagher Premiership club through his company Baxter Williams.
As part of the partnership Baxter, the Chief Executive Officer of Worcester-based Baxter Williams, has committed to a hospitality suite at Sixways to host clients on matchdays.
“It’s great to be back here at Worcester where I have so many great memories as a player,” Baxter said.
“Combining work and rugby is fantastic, we enjoy our collaborative relationship with the club, supporting on a number of key hires. We get such great feedback from clients who join us for the Sixways matchday experience and it’s a time for us to connect exceptional people.”
During his playing career Baxter was a prolific try-scorer and a popular figure at Sixways in the early days of professionalism, helping Warriors climb from Midlands Two to what is now the Greene King IPA Championship.
He represented England at in the Rugby Sevens at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur and also played for the Barbarians while he was with Warriors.
Baxter later joined Birmingham & Solihull and became the first player to score 150 National League tries.
Since establishing Baxter Williams in 2016, Baxter and his team have helped Warriors to recruit several members of staff in the club’s Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations departments.
“Everyone associated knows Nick Baxter and what he has done for the club over many years. He is a hugely popular figure at Sixways,” said Warriors Operations Director Peter Kelly.
“As a player he was a prolific try-scorer and since retiring from playing Nick has continued to support the club in many different ways including acting as matchday host for our player question-and-answer sessions.
“Nick has also helped the club in a professional capacity by helping us to recruit high quality staff who have strengthened our off-field team at Sixways.
“We are delighted to formalise that arrangement by making Baxter Williams our official recruitment supplier.”
