Warriors unveil new Fan Zone

Warriors will open a new Fan Zone at Sixways for their opening Premiership Rugby Cup match against Leicester Tigers on Saturday September 21 (kick-off 3.00pm).

The Fan Zone has been developed behind the North Stand and will provide food, drink and entertainment for spectators as part of the club’s continued commitment to make the Sixways matchday experience the best in the Gallagher Premiership.

The Fan Zone will include bars and stalls selling a range of food including speciality vegan dishes, pulled pork and menus that will match the themed matchdays throughout the season.

There will be pre and post-match music provided by a band, picnic benches and patio heaters and the Fan Zone will also include the children’s entertainment that was previously a feature of the Sixways Kidzone as well as a tuck shop.

“We want everyone who attends a Warriors home match, whatever their age, to enjoy the matchday experience – on and off the pitch,” said Warriors’ Operations Director Peter Kelly.

“We have listened to the views of supporters, taken on board the comments – good and bad – in our post-match surveys and we have developed a Fan Zone that we hope will encourage supporters to arrive early and stay late.

“We want to create a lively and family-friendly atmosphere and to provide quality food, drink and entertainment that is the envy of visiting supporters.”

The new Sixways Fan Zone will be accessed by existing turnstiles in the north-west corner of the stadium as well as through two new turnstiles which are being installed close to the main reception in the East Stand.

The Fan Zone is the latest major ground development announced by Warriors following the installation of industry-leading floodlights, big screens and public address system.
