Warriors appoint Aramis as scrum machine supplier

Warriors have appointed Aramis as the club’s official training and  digital scrum machine supplier.

Devon-based Aramis have a long sporting history dating back to 1927 when the company established a reputation for the manufacture of top-of-the-range hockey sticks. Aramis supplied hockey sticks to the Indian team that won six successive Olympic gold medals between 1928 and 1956.

Aramis have specialised in rugby since the 1990s, supplying clothing, kit and training equipment to clubs and schools in many different venues.

Their state-of-the-art scrum machines are used by top level teams, including Warriors, but fan-friendly versions have also been used to increase fan engagement on major matchdays at Twickenham and Murrayfield.

“Aramis have a long and successful record of providing equipment to high performing teams,” said Warriors Operations Director Peter Kelly.

“We are delighted that they have agreed to work closely with Warriors by supplying us with one of their state-of-the-art and innovative scrum machines.

“Hopefully it will help to give Alan Solomons and his coaching team the edge when they are preparing the team for matches this season.”

Former England lock Nigel Horton, Aramis Rugby Ambassador, said: “I am proud that Aramis now have a contract with Worcester Warriors.

“Uniquely Aramis can customize each scrummage machine and I’d like to see Warriors benefit in the seasons ahead.”
