Warriors Women duo claim hat-tricks for University of Worcester

Two Warriors Women players scored try hat-tricks to help the University of Worcester Women hammer Oxford Brookes University Women 93-7 in their opening British Universities & Colleges Sport match of the season.

Vicky Laflin and Brooke Bradley were the Sixways duo who crossed the whitewash three times, with five Warriors players in the Worcester team.

Lauren Leatherland and Cara Brincat also got on the scoresheet, with both claiming braces.

Leatherland got the scoring started just two minutes in before Brincat claimed her first after eight minutes.

It took just six minutes for prop Leatherland to score her second before Bradley ran a good support line to touch down at the end of the first quarter.

Warriors hooker Carmen Tremelling put in a big tackle on 20 minutes, with Bradley grabbing her second by scoring from halfway after a turnover at the scrum.

Good breakdown work by Brincat set-up another Worcester try before Bradley completed a 17-minute hat-trick under the posts soon after.

There was still time in the first period for Brincat to secure her brace when Leatherland carried well from the restart.

Six minutes after the break, replacement Laflin scored her first try of the game with a wonderful solo effort after a turnover at a scrum.

Just after the hour mark Laflin had her second when she went under the posts before completing her second-half hat-trick soon after.

Daisy French was also on the winning team as her University of Gloucester Women side ran out 35-5 winners against Bath.
