Nicholas to face The Army

New recruit Sarah Nicholas will make her first start for Warriors Women in Friday’s friendly against The Army at Sixways (kick-off 7.30pm).

The England Under-20s fly-half was signed from Gloucester-Hartpury last month and made her debut off the bench in Warriors Women’s last Tyrrells Premier 15s match at Darlington Mowden Park Sharks.

Nicholas will start in a strong Warriors Women side that includes ten players who started against DMP.
Zoe Heeley will start on the right wing in place of Lydia Thompson, England’s try hero against France in Exeter last weekend.

Number eight Lucy Lockhart will be facing some familiar opponents as she played for the Australian Army while serving as a corporal.

Warriors Women will use The Army match to prepare for the resumption of Tyrrells Premier 15s action with Bristol Bears Women visiting Sixways on Sunday December 1 for the Sepsis Awareness Day fixture.

Warriors Women’s Development XV will also be in action this weekend with a friendly against Bridgnorth at Sixways on Saturday (kick-off 4.30pm).

Admission to both Warriors Women matches is free.
