Rucking around the Christmas tree with Warriors players

Warriors players will be rucking around the Christmas tree at a special carol concert to raise money for the Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Jingle Bell Ruck will be staged at Sixways on Wednesday December 11 (6.30pm for 7pm) with players joining supporters for special renditions of Christmas favourites.

The concert is being produced by loosehead prop Ethan Waller, who scripted and produced last year’s pantomime for Chris Pennell’s Testimonial Year which was a massive hit at Sixways and on Broadway (Worcestershire).

Waller will again be taking a leading role in the production and he will be joined in the cast by club captain GJ van Velze, Jono Lance, Andrew Kitchener, Niall Annett, Conor Carey and Callum Morris to sing Christmas carols with a rugby and a Warriors twist.

Lock Justin Clegg and hooker Isaac Miller, who starred at the post-match reception after the recent European Challenge Cup match against Enisei-STM in Russia, will also be making special guest appearances.

The players and their chef Jerry Quinn will be making gingerbread men which will be on sale on the evening along with mulled wine and Christmas cards.

Christmas jumpers are optional but will be encouraged.

Tickets for Jingle Bell Ruck cost £8 for adults and £5 for juniors and can be purchased here.
