Warriors rename bars at ‘Fortress’ Sixways

Warriors are aiming to turn Sixways into a fortress on and off the pitch by renaming all the bars in the stadium.

The bars around the ground will now have a fortress-themed name which will make each of them a landmark and a more attractive place in which to meet and drink.

The new names will be officially unveiled for the Gallagher Premiership match against Sale Sharks on Saturday November 30.

In the East Stand, East Bar One is now the Portcullis Bar, East Bar Two is now the Gauntlet Bar, East Bar Three is now the Keep Bar and the East Ale Bar is now the Armoury Bar.

The Snug Bar on the East Concourse is now the Turret Bar and the Food Village Bar on the East Concourse has now become the Rampart Bar.

The South Stand Terrace Bar is now the Shield Bar, the South West Corner Bar is now the Tower Bar, the Smoking Bar is the Dungeon Bar and the EBC Fanzone Ale Bar will now be known as the Courtyard Bar.

“We are aiming to make Sixways a place that is warm and welcoming off the pitch and fortress on it,” said Warriors Managing Director Peter Kelly.

“We thought that arranging to meet your friends for a drink in East Bar One or East Bar Three sounded rather sterile and unwelcoming.

“So our marketing team have had a bit of fun renaming all the bars around the stadium on a fortress theme and we hope that our supporters, and those from visiting clubs,  will appreciate the new signage and branding and enjoy drinking in a more convivial environment.

“So enter the Fortress through the  Portcullis, run the Gauntlet , into the Keep and through to the Armoury …..#FortressSixways”
