Warriors Under-18s get their Premiership Rugby Academy campaign underway on Sunday as they take on Sale Sharks at Manchester Metropolitan University (kick-off 2.30pm).
Fin Smith, fresh from his exploits with England Under-18s starts at fly-half, while Ollie Wynn who featured for Warriors in the Premiership Rugby 7s, gets the nod at scrum-half.
Captained by Bromsgrove School pupil Seb Atkinson, Warriors will be hoping to get off to a winning start against a Sharks side that reached finals day last time out.
Mike Hall, Manager of the Three Pears Warriors Academy, said: “As a group, we are hugely excited to get our league season started. There were some really positive performances in the summer against strong opposition and we are looking for the same attitude and approach against Sale.
“In the summer, the squad and staff talked about the importance of work ethic and intensity in the way we play. We are hoping to bring this to our performance on Sunday.”
