Warriors Under-18s name team to face Wasps

Warriors have named their side for Saturday’s Premiership Rugby Under-18 League clash against Wasps at Sixways (kick-off 12.00pm).

Academy Manager Mike Hall has made five changes to the side that were narrowly beaten 22-20 at Sale a fortnight ago, with Bromsgrove School pupil Fin Morgan getting the nod at full-back, while there are also starts for wing Tobi Wilson and scrum-half Tom Miles.

Elsewhere, Imoesi Ogwemoh comes into the engine room alongside Harry Smith, while Fin Thomas gets his chance to shine from the start as he packs down at openside flanker.

The fixture is the first of two fixtures taking place at Sixways, with Alan Solomons’ side locking horns with London Irish in the Gallagher Premiership following the conclusion of the academy game (kick-off 3.00pm).

“The players and staff are looking to building on the positive performance last time out against Sale. We had some very good periods of play in good field position but just didn’t convert that into points on the scoreboard,” Hall said.

” In the review of the game the coaches were able to highlight some examples of outstanding work rate, effort and physicality in our defence which was extremely pleasing.

” There are two or three areas that we have highlighted to improve in this game and we will be looking to bring those against a very good Wasps team.

“The players are extremely excited to play a curtain raiser for the 1st XV and we are hoping lots of the bumper festive crowd will arrive early to cheer the next generation of Warriors on”.
