WARRIORS U18S READY FOR YORKSHIRE CARNEGIE SHOWDOWN

Warriors Under-18s welcome Yorkshire Carnegie to Sixways on Saturday (kick-off 2.00pm) knowing a victory will secure their passage to Finals Day on home soil.

Skipper Seb Atkinson returns to the starting line-up following injury, the Bromsgrove School pupil one of three changes to the side that took on Leicester Tigers at Welford Road last month.

Joe Richardson, a try-scorer at Tigers, replaces Jon Lilley at hooker, while Ollie Wynn pulls on the number-nine jersey after bagging a brace during an impressive second half display at Leicester.

Warriors have won three out of their last four outings to put themselves in contention for Finals Day, which will be staged at Sixways on Sunday February 16, where the top three teams from the Northern Conference will play off against their Southern counterparts.

“I was delighted with our fightback against Leicester last time out and it was great to claim a try bonus point with the last play of the game,” said Warriors’ Academy Manager Mike Hall.

“We now have an important game at home to Yorkshire Carnegie to focus on and we’re all looking forward to the challenge.”
