VICKY LAFLIN MY OTHER SPORT IS… HORSE RIDING

Warriors Women back Vicky Laflin is the latest player to take part in our ‘A Different Ball Game’ feature.

What is your second sport?

Horse riding as I’ve done it ever since I was little, and it was the sport that I did with my mum.

When did you start horse riding?

When I was about five or six, I started to horse ride with my mum.

What sport would you love to try?

I think I would like to try something like rowing as I feel that I have the right body type for it.

What was your first sporting memory?

I always enjoyed touring when I first started playing rugby as a kid.

Which stadium or venue would you like to play at?

It has always been my dream to play at Twickenham.

If you could win any trophy what would it be?

It would have to be something like the World Cup and even if I was part of the England set-up, that would be incredible.

Which sporting event in history would you like to have witnessed?

Probably any game between England and New Zealand. They are always inspirational games and the semi-final at last year’s World Cup was an incredible game, so I would have loved to have been there.

Who is your sporting hero?

Dan Carter as he was a dedicated player with pure talent and an inspiring figure in sport.

What’s the best game you’ve been to?

My friend took me to Twickenham to watch England against Wales. It was a close game and really enjoyable to watch, with the women’s game afterwards.
