Neil Lyman

Neil Lyman was the only player to play for Warriors at every level in their climb from National Two to the Premiership during a 12-year career at Sixways.

He had already played top flight rugby for Moseley but grew disenchanted with the sport and trained as a fireman before Director of Rugby Phil Maynard persuaded him to pull on his boots again.

Lyman was a rock-solid scrummager and capable ball carrier  who became the first Warriors player to make 100 appearances for the club in the professional era.

Lyman, who started his career with Kidderminster Carolians, retired from playing in 2005 having suffered a fractured sternum in his Testimonial match..

Chris Horsman

Chris Horsman twice battled back from cancer to win 14 Wales caps and enjoy a five-year career with Warriors.

He was born and raised in England and played his first Premiership rugby for Bath between 1997 and 2002.

Horsman switched to Bridgend in 2002 and joined the ill-fated Celtic Warriors the following season, moving to Warriors after the Welsh franchise disbanded.

He continued to live in Wales which allowed him to qualify for them on residency while he made more than 60 appearances for Warriors before neck injury ended his career in 2009.

Tevita Taumoepeau

Tevita Taumoepeau was made to be a tighthead prop. At 5ft 11ins tall and weighing in at 18st 8lbs he anchored Warriors’ scrum for eight years.

He was capped 29 times by Tonga between 1999 and 2007 and also played six times for the Pacific Islanders during a distinguished international career.

Taumoepeau first came to prominence in New Zealand where he played Super Rugby for Chiefs and Blues as well as provincial rugby for Auckland and Bay of Plenty.

He had a stint with Northampton Saints in 2004-05 followed by a season with Bourgoin before joining Warriors in 2005 and making 181 appearances before a neck injury forced his retirement.

Nick Schonert

Nick Schonert joined Warriors from Super Rugby side Cheetahs in 2014 and has since established a reputation as one of the best scrummagers in the Premiership.

He has regular featured in England squads and played for an England XV against the Barbarians in May 2018 but, surprisingly, is still waiting for his first international cap.

Schonert represented South Africa at the IRB Junior World Championship in 2011 and played his formative rugby for the Sharks youth teams and GWK Griquas.

Schonert joined Warriors’ 100 Club at Northampton in May 2019 and has so far made 114 appearances since he made his debut against Bristol in the RFU Championship in September 2014.
