Following Premiership Rugby’s update on the 2019/20 season, Worcester Cavaliers’ remaining matches in the Premiership Rugby Shield have been cancelled.
The side – led by Mike Hall, Gordon Ross and Mike Hill – were top of the Northern Conference after five matches and well-placed to qualify for the semi-finals when Premiership Rugby suspended all rugby because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
With top-level rugby in England not due to resume until ‘it is safe to do so’, the Premiership Rugby Shield competition has been cancelled for the season.
Cavaliers’ two outstanding Shield matches were a home match against Gloucester United and away trips to Wasps A, Leicester Tigers Development, Northampton Wanderers and Sale Jets.
