Lockdown Live from Sixways a huge success

The recent Lockdown Live from Sixways has already raised more than £4,600 for Warriors Community Foundation and NHS charities.

The event was broadcast live from the pitch at Sixways by Youthcomm Radio 106.7fm and featured music plus interviews with Warriors players Chris Pennell, Niall Annett, Ryan Bower, Marco Mama and Justin Clegg. Lockdown Live from Sixways was also streamed live on You Tube.

Despite having just a week to organise the event, Lockdown Live from Sixways was a huge success thanks to sponsorship from Adam Hewitt Ltd and support from Muff Murfin of Youthcomm, DJs Chris Roberts and Owen Lowe, Universal Signs, Gig Lighting and Bare Grylls catering.

“We are so grateful to our wonderful friends and partners who put their hands up straightaway to support this event,” said Carol Hart, Head of Warriors Community Foundation.

“It has been incredibly difficult during the Coronavirus lockdown to raise funds for our Foundation which offers vital support to the most disadvantaged, disengaged and vulnerable people in our local community, and has done for the last ten years.

“Special thanks has to also go to our players, they really do go that extra mile to support the foundation and our community and we can always rely on them to come along and put their weight behind everything we do.

“The event was pulled together in a week and demonstrates what can be achieved with great teamwork.

“A massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who supported the event and to those who have donated.”
