WARRIORS UNITED IN SUPPORT FOR JESS

Worcester Warriors are saddened to hear that a member of our women’s Centre of Excellence has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer during the recent Covid-19 lockdown.

Jessica Pardo Alvarez was one of the first recruits through the newly formed Centre of Excellence back in January 2018 when the RFU reshaped the Women’s Pathway and she is an extremely popular member of the group.

Always bringing her own individuality to each session, her energy is infectious, and she is always making players and staff laugh. As a natural team player, Jess’ ability to praise people around her when they do things well is a quality that is too often underrated.

Warriors Women take on Wasps Ladies in the Allianz Premier 15s this Saturday, with players wearing blue laces to show their continued support for Jess and her loved ones.

As one Warriors family, we continue to support Jess and her family through these challenging times and would invite any supporters who can join us in raising money for the Mat Davis Foundation. Jess chose to support the Mat Davis Foundation when being diagnosed due to its support of 18-30-year-olds who have been diagnosed with cancer.

Both our men’s and women’s team can be seen wearing blue laces to show our continued support for Jess and her loved ones as part of the Warriors family. As part of our commitment to Jess, we will be running fundraising events across the season where we invite fans to join us*.
