With half term just around the corner, we thought we’d help out with entertaining both the kids and the adults. This week we will turning our Pitchview Suite into a socially distanced indoor cinema where you can enjoy a selection of three films over three days.
Thursday 29 October:
On Thursday we will be showing the classic family favourite, The Lion King, which welcomes Donald Glover (Atlanta, Solo: A Star Wars Story) as future king Simba and Beyonce Knowles-Carter (Dreamgirls, Lemonade visual album) as Simba’s friend-turned-love interest Nala. Doors will open at 11am for this screening, and the film will begin at 12pm. For this fun-filled, family event we will also be hosting a range of kids competitions, with plenty of prizes to be won!
Friday 30 October
Our Friday night screening is one for the adults! Going with the Halloween theme, we will be screening Silence of the Lambs: an FBI trainee is assigned by her superior to interview an imprisoned, cannibalistic psychopath, Hannibal “the Cannibal” Lecter, in the hope that he may help uncover the identity of an elusive serial killer. Our doors will open from 6pm for this screening, and the film will begin at 7pm prompt. Please note this screening is strictly for persons over the age of 18 only. A range of soft and alcoholic drinks will be available to purchased from our fully licensed bar.
Saturday 31 October
For a family Halloween special, we will be screening everybody’s favourite – Hocus Pocus! After three centuries, three witch sisters are resurrected in Salem Massachusetts on Halloween night, and it is up to two teen-agers, a young girl, and an immortal cat to put an end to the witches’ reign of terror once and for all. Doors will open at 11am for this screening, and the film will begin at 12pm. Please come in your best Halloween fancy dress for this one – there will be a prize for the best dressed child! We will also be hosting a variety of other competitions with plenty more prizes up for grabs! Classic cinema snacks will be available to purchase at all screenings too.
