Lawrence helps England defeat Ireland

Warriors’ centre Ollie Lawrence helped England to an 18-7 win over Ireland in the Autumn Nations Cup at Twickenham.

While Warriors were defeating London Irish at Sixways, Lawrence won his third international cap and enjoyed his most game time to date.

Having started for the second week running, Lawrence played 68 minutes and made 16 tackles in a busy performance before he was replaced by fit-again George Ford.

By that stage England had opened up a commanding 18-0 lead with two tries from wing Jonny May in a four minute period in the first half.

A conversion and two second half penalties from Owen Farrell kept Ireland at bay and sent England into their final group match against Wales at Llanelli next Saturday seeking a fourth straight win in their autumn programme.
