Warriors’ Boxing Day Gallagher Premiership match against Northampton Saints will now be played behind closed doors at Franklin’s Gardens (kick-off 4.30pm).
Northampton had hoped to admit a crowd of 2,000 but the Government’s decision to move Northamptonshire to Tier 3 from 12.01am on Boxing Day in today’s COVID restrictions update put paid to those plans.
Worcestershire remains in Tier 2 as before which means that a crowd of 2,000 can be admitted to Sixways for the New Year’s Day match against Harlequins (kick-off 7.45pm).
