Warriors back-row forward Cornell du Preez has been included in Scotland’s 34-man squad to prepare for Sunday’s Guinness Six Nations match against Ireland at BT Murrayfield.
Du Preez trained with Scotland two weeks ago and was expected to be named as a replacement against France in Paris but the match was postponed following a COVID-19 outbreak in the French camp.
Du Preez has been capped nine times, most recently against Wales at Llanelli in the final match of the rescheduled 2020 Six Nations.
Wing Duhan van der Merwe, who will join Warriors from Edinburgh during the summer, has also been named in Scotland’s training squad for the Ireland match.
