CARYL THOMAS CALLED UP TO WALES’ SIX NATIONS SQUAD

Caryl Thomas has been named in Wales’ squad ahead of the Women’s Six Nations, which gets underway against Ireland at Cardiff Arms Park on April 10 (kick-off 5pm).

Thomas will join up with her international teammates for the trip to Vannes where they will face France on Saturday April 3 (kick-off 8pm BST) as preparations gather pace for the restructured Women’s Six Nations.

The France match will be the first international match for Wales since they played England in March last year, with new Head Coach Warren Abrahams looking forward to the challenge.

“We are all so excited to get on the pitch and represent the jersey,” he said.

“It’s all about France and putting into practice what we’ve done in training. We want to show what we can do and the matches will be a great gauge for where we are as a team.

“Selection came with some welcome headaches, I think this is a very competitive squad and a nice blend between the more experienced players and players new to the squad or returning. All the selected players have really put their hands up, both in their club performances within the Allianz Premier 15s and in training with us.

“They all deserve their place and are looking forward to showing what they can do in the Six Nations.”

Thomas has been in fine form for Warriors since making her debut against Wasps Ladies back in November and everyone at the club wishes her all the very best.
