Warriors quartet in loan action this weekend

Morgan Monks and Lewis Holsey are in line to make their debuts for Hartpury in Sunday’s Greene King IPA Championship match against Ealing Trailfinders at Vallis Way.

Back-row forward Monks and loosehead prop Holsey are both members of the Three Pears Warriors Academy and have signed dual registrations with Gloucestershire-based Hartpury and have been named as replacements for Sunday’s visit to the league leaders.

Monks has previously benefited from gaining senior experience on a similar arrangement with Birmingham Moseley in National One last season while Holsey, a member of this season’s England Under-20 squad, played Championship rugby for London Scottish last season after a stint with Loughborough Students in National One.

Utility back Scott van Breda will also be in Championship action having been named in the centre for Jersey Reds’ trip to Bedford Blues on Saturday.

Van Breda, who joined Warriors from Jersey three years ago, has returned to the Channel Islanders on a loan agreement until the end of the Championship season.

Lock James Scott will start for Glasgow Warriors in Saturday’s Guinness Pro-14 match against Benetton Treviso at Scotstoun.Scott is on loan with the Scottish regional side and will pack down alongside Scotland international Richie Gray as one of six changes to Glasgow’s starting XV.
