SIXWAYS STADIUM TO HOST VIRTUAL EXPO POWERED BY BARTERCARD

Sixways Stadium is hosting a special online event to help local businesses from across the region to maximise their potential as the UK economy looks forward to a brighter future.

The Sixways Virtual Expo Powered by Bartercard will take place on Wednesday May 26, enabling local businesses to showcase themselves whilst networking and creating new contacts in line with the club’s ethos of supporting the business community.

Our club partner Bartercard have kindly provided this amazing platform and we have also brought on board Sterling Networks to help promote and host the event, which is free to attend.

Gill Wood, Head of Commercial at Worcester Warriors, is delighted to be collaborating with Bartercard, the brainchild of this innovative event.

She said: “I am incredibly proud to launch the Sixways Virtual Expo in collaboration with Chris Kirby, Managing Director of Bartercard.

“Building great partnerships is a vital ingredient to the success of Warriors. We are incredibly fortunate to have such supportive partners and sponsors that have remained loyal throughout the pandemic.

“It was with this in mind, that myself and the commercial team wanted to explore avenues to thank them for their continued support and to add value to their businesses, so that they could promote themselves further to our wider audience.

“During a discussion with Chris, he offered me the perfect solution with a platform that he had already created and the Sixways Virtual Expo powered by Bartercard was born.

“I would like to thank Chris for offering us this fantastic opportunity which demonstrates a perfect example of how we collaborate with our partners.”

Bartercard Managing Director Chris Kirby is thrilled to be part of the Sixways Stadium Virtual Expo, saying: “I’m really proud that we can bring the business community back together albeit virtually, and it is a step in the right direction towards a sense of normality.

“The event will be a big lift for a lot of people after such a terrible year caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Stands for the Expo will be chargeable at £100 and the Round Table networking will be operated by Sterling Networks at £7.99 per place. For every stand sold, £25 will go to the Warriors Community Foundation, who exists to build a legacy for sport, education, health and social cohesion across our communities. The Foundation also specialises in working with young people disengaged from mainstream education or those who have suffered trauma and have learning issues.

Laura Napper, Head of Venue and Events at Sixways Stadium said: “We are delighted to be holding this event and look forward to showcasing what we have to offer.

“We have missed the personal contact like so many other businesses during these difficult times, however we are finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.

“With this in mind, what better time to talk to business professionals about the exciting opportunities ahead of us.

“We are excited to be collaborating with our longstanding client Sterling Networks, who will operate and deliver the round table networking.

“We can’t wait to hold these types of events in person, but for now, I hope to see many businesses on our virtual platform on May 26.”

Sterling Networks Sales Director Tracey Davis is delighted to be on board with the Virtual Expo, adding: “Sterling Networks have been running BIG Breakfast events as part of exhibitions for the past 10 years.

“We have had a long successful relationship with Sixways Stadium, with five of our current networking groups using the venue as our meeting location when we are able to run our face-to-face meetings.

“In fact, our last BIG Breakfast event was in February 2020 at Sixways Stadium where we had over 150 business owners in the room to network before a successful exhibition.

“In a year that has been challenging for many with technology now able to support this type of event, business owners can be positive about networking and taking a stand at an exhibition to help with their lead generation to support them in 2021.”
