As a result of yesterday’s announcement by the UK Government that COVID restrictions will not be eased as planned in the lockdown roadmap, An Evening of Queen will now take place on Saturday August 7.
This will allow extra time for Sixways Stadium to implement COVID protocols in line with Government guidelines, which will ensure that the event is safe for both the audience and the performers.
An Evening of Abba will go ahead as planned on Friday August 6, however An Evening of Tina has now been rescheduled for Friday August 27.
Your tickets are still valid for the event that you have booked and will be automatically moved over to the new date. Should you not be able to attend the new date and would like to request a reimbursement (either an On-Account balance to use on other events or tickets or a refund), please call 01905 459309 to speak to a member of the Ticket Office.
The decision to delay the removal of all legal limits on social contact until July 19 comes amid a rise in the Delta COVID-19 strain. The delay will give Government scientists the opportunity to assess the data in more detail and ensure that a larger proportion of the population receive both doses of the COVID-19 vaccination.
“Although we are confident of delivering a safe and enjoyable event, we have made the decision to move An Evening of Queen to Saturday August 7 to allow for the best possible night,” said Laura Napper, Head of Venue and Events at Sixways Stadium.
Lead vocalist for An Evening of Queen Ricardo Afonso, who up until recently was working with legendary Queen guitarist Brian May, will have your pulses racing with classics such as Bohemian Rhapsody and We Are the Champions.
It really does promise to be a fantastic evening of entertainment, performed by stars of the West End to get the summer underway in style.
