Ted Hill and Ollie Lawrence in England training squad

Warriors pair Ted Hill and Ollie Lawrence have been named in a 36-man England squad who have reconvened at The Lensbury in Teddington ahead of the A international against Scotland at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Sunday June 27 (kick-off 2.00pm).

Back-row forward Hill, Warriors’ Club Captain, was capped by England as a replacement against Japan at Twickenham in the 2018 Autumn Internationals and centre Lawrence has won six caps between his debut as a replacement against Italy last October and starting against Ireland in Dublin in March.

Seven players from beaten Gallagher Premiership semi-finalists Bristol Bears and Sale Sharks have been added to the squad along with Northampton Saints pair George Furbank and Ollie Sleightholme.

“We had a really good training week last week. We’ve now added some new players and are looking forward to working with them,” said England Head Coach Eddie Jones.

“The players who aren’t with us now acquitted themselves really well in training and though they are disappointed to go home, we’ve made the point to them that if they keep working hard then there will be more opportunities for them.

“We will treat the week as a Test week, everyone will work hard and be ready for a competitive game on Sunday.”
