Warriors commemorate Cecil Duckworth with President’s Memorial Lunch

Warriors will commemorate Club President in Perpetuity Cecil Duckworth CBE at a special lunch at Sixways on Friday November 12 (12.30pm-4.00pm).

Cecil passed away last November aged 83 after a short illness having served Warriors for a quarter-of-a-century as owner, Executive Chairman and President. He was also founder of Worcester Bosch and a philanthropist who supported many local charities and organisations.

The first anniversary of Cecil’s death will be marked with the President’s Memorial Lunch with all proceeds going to the Warriors Community Foundation, of which he was a trustee.

Speakers at the lunch will be former Warriors and England full-back Chris Pennell who is a Trustee of the Foundation, and David Hallmark OBE, who played for Worcester RFC from 1964 to 1968, was club President from 1992 to 1993 and a founder of WRFC Trading Ltd.

The cost of the President’s Memorial Lunch is £40 for a two-course meal and will be held, appropriately, in the Duckworth Suite at Sixways.
