Warriors’ supporters will have the chance to see five of the club’s new signings in action for the first time in Friday’s friendly against Connacht Rugby at Sixways (kick-off 7.45pm).
Wales international fly-half Owen Williams, who has arrived at Sixways from Japanese side Red Hurricanes, former Bath Rugby tighthead prop Christian Judge and experienced lock Matt Garvey, a recruit from Gloucester Rugby, will all start in the first of three pre-season matches for Warriors.
Former Wasps pair, tighthead prop Jack Owlett and Tonga international number eight, have been named among the 16 replacements who can all expect to get game time during the match against the Irish province.
Melani Nanai has been named in the starting XV for his first appearance of the year having recovered from a torn hamstring which he sustained in training.
Also included in a 31-man squad are three members of the Three Pears Warriors Academy in centre Seb Atkinson, who was part of England’s Under-20s Six Nations Grand Slam winning squad in July, scrum-half Ollie Wynn and back-row forward Jack Forsythe.
Warriors will be captained by South Africa international centre Francois Venter as Ted Hill completes his rehabilitation from an ankle injury sustained training with England before their international against Canada in July.

Warriors will play Glasgow Warriors in ‘The Clash’ at Sixways on Friday September 10 (kick-off 7.00pm) and complete their preparations for the season against Greene King IPA Championship side Cornish Pirates at the Mennaye Field on Saturday September 11 (kick-off 5.00pm).
The Gallagher Premiership season kicks-off on Saturday September 18 with a home match against London Irish at Sixways (kick-off 3.00pm).
