TEAM NEWS | Warriors Women vs Saracens Women

Warriors Women have made four changes for tomorrow’s Sixways double-header against Saracens Women in Round 4 of the Allianz Premier 15s (kick-off 5.30pm).

Club Captain Lyndsay O’Donnell returns to the starting XV, packing down alongside USA international Alycia Washington in the engine room, while England star Alex Matthews will be looking to continue her impressive form at blindside flanker.

The Olympian came off the bench to score against Wasps in Warriors’ last Premier 15s outing a fortnight ago and she forms a mouth-watering back-row combination with Welsh wizard Alex Callender.

Cat McNaney gets the nod at full-back, with Canada international Paige Farries making a welcome return to the wing.

“We are really excited for the double-header tomorrow,” said Warriors Women Director of Rugby Jo Yapp.

“It’s always great to play in front of a large crowd at Sixways and it promises to be an entertaining spectacle for the supporters to watch following the men’s game against Gloucester.

“Saracens are a very strong side and they have never failed to make the Allianz Premier 15s final, so we know that it will be a physical encounter.

“However, we’ve been working really hard in training this week, and we’re all really looking forward to the challenge.”
