Sione Vailanu named in Tonga squad for Autumn Tests

Sione Vailanu has been included in Tonga’s squad for their four-match Autumn International programme.

Vailanu, who arrived at Sixways from Wasps during the summer, has been capped seven times by Tonga with the last of his appearances coming against Canada in Lautoka in August 2019 when he scored his second try for his country.

Vailanu will link up with his country after the Scotland Test Match and is set to become the seventh player to win a cap for Tonga while with Warriors after Sateki Tuipulotu, Aisea Havili, Tevita Taumoepeau, Aleki Lutui, Ofa Fainga’anuku and Cooper Vuna.

Tonga have named a squad of 40 for the tour with ten new caps and players selected from clubs in ten different countries.
