Loan Watch | Warriors team mates on opposing sides

Warriors team-mates Morgan Monks and Lewis Holsey will be opponents for the afternoon when Ampthill face Hartpury in the Championship on Saturday.

Number eight Monks will return to Ampthill’s starting XV with England Under-20s loosehead prop Holsey making his seasonal debut for Hartpury in their front row at Dillingham Park.

Warriors loosehead prop Kai Owen is set to make his debut for Doncaster Knights against Championship leaders Ealing Trailfinders at Castle Park.

Owen, who came off the bench for Warriors in last weekend’s Premiership Rugby Cup win against Bristol Bears, has been on loan at Birmingham Moseley in National One but has now linked up with Doncaster on a similar arrangement.

Owen has previous Championship experience from loan spells with Hartpury and Yorkshire Carnegie two years ago.

Warriors number eight Caleb Montgomery has been named as a replacement by Cornish Pirates for Saturday’s Championship trip to Jersey Reds with hooker Joe Richardson also on the bench for Coventry for their trip to London Scottish.

In National Two North, Tobi Wilson will start at full-back and Seb Atkinson at fly-half for unbeaten leaders Stourbridge against Blaydon at Stourton Park.

Warriors hooker Finn Theobald-Thomas, who made his senior debut off the bench against Bristol last week, is named among Stourbridge’s replacement.

Two more members of the Three Pears Warriors Academy, loosehead prop Ben Murphy and back-row forward Jack Forsythe are on Luctonians’ bench for the visit of Fylde to Mortimer Park.

Meanwhile Warriors scrum-half Tom Miles helped Loughborough University to a thrilling 37-33 home win against Cardiff Met University in their latest BUCS Super League match on Wednesday.
