Theobald-Thomas scores try on first start for England Under-20s

Warriors’ hooker Finn Theobald-Thomas celebrated his first start for England Under-20s with a try in the 43-14 victory over Wales in their third match of the Six Nations at Doncaster’s Castle Park.

Theobald-Thomas won his first cap off the bench in the narrow defeat against Italy two weeks ago and was given a starting berth against Wales.

He crossed from a driving maul to touch down and help England to a 15-7 lead at the break which they built on in the second-half.

Wales were reduced to 14 men before the break when number eight Alex Mann was sent off for a dangerous tackle.

Although Wales were only eight points down when lock Benji Williams crossed in the second half, England made their numerical advantage count in the final quarter to improve their prospects of retaining their title.
