Hugo Seabright wins first-ever Warrior of the Month Award

Hugo Seabright of Brockhampton Primary School is the first winner of Warriors Community Rugby Department’s new Warrior of the Month Award.

The awards have been introduced to recognise those whose behaviour and attitude reflect a commitment to Warriors’ culture, values and ethos.

Nominations are made by Warriors Community Rugby Coaches with Caity Mattinson putting Hugo forward for the inaugural award.

“Hugo has been taking part in both curriculum tag rugby lessons and our tag rugby after-school club,” Mattinson said.

“Not only is Hugo a talented rugby player and a prolific try-scorer but he also shows a great Warrior Mindset.

“The afters-chool club ranges from year three to year six and Hugo is one of the youngest, but he doesn’t let that stop him.

“He has a ‘never give-up’ attitude and even helps children older than himself to understand different games.

“Hugo has been the recipient of multiple Warrior of the Week awards and I’ve continued to see both Hugo’s rugby and behaviour get better and better each week.

“He thoroughly deserves the first Warrior of the Month award. Many congratulations Hugo. I hope to see you enjoying your rugby for many years to come.”
