This weekend’s Round 24 of the Gallagher Premiership is dedicated to Restart Rugby and we’re getting behind them to raise awareness and funds to support our players’ mental health.
Restart is a charity that supports current and former players facing serious injury, illness or hardship. During Round 24, we want to raise as much awareness as we can across Gallagher Premiership Rugby for Restart’s Confidential Counselling Service which helps players struggling with their mental health.
‘‘There are two sides to mental health for me in rugby. You have the obvious pressures of selection, contract renewals and risk of injury, but there is also the worry about what will happen post playing career,” said Warriors and England back-row forward Matt Kvesic.
“That side of things can be hugely daunting and cause a lot of anxiety and worry, but knowing we have a charity like Restart to help you through this process is amazing.”
