Mark Irish to leave Warriors at end of season

Warriors Scrum Coach Mark Irish is to leave the club for personal reasons and by mutual agreement at the end of the current season.

Irish, 40, arrived at Sixways in the summer of 2020 from Bristol Bears where he was also Scrum Coach.

The former England Under-21 international also made almost 150 appearances for Bristol in an eight-year playing career and also had spells with Bridgwater & Albion, Gloucester Newbury and London Scottish.

He moved into coaching, initially with Bristol’s Academy and England Students, before taking on responsibilities with the senior squad at Ashton Gate in 2018.

“I would like to thank everyone at the club for the last two years,” Irish said.

“I wish Steve Diamond and the team at Warriors all the very best for the future and for their plans on and off the field.”
