Warriors Women held their End of Season Awards on Friday, bringing the curtain down on a progressive Allianz Premier 15s campaign for Jo Yapp’s side.
Wales back-row Alex Callender scooped the Players’ Player and Forward of the Season awards, while hard-hitting centre Meg Varley was named Back of the Season.
Most Improved Player went to Centre of Excellence graduate Jess Kershaw, who benefitted from valuable game time in the Allianz Cup. Sarah Moreira and Amelia Buckland Hurry picked up the Club Person and Community Player of the Season accolades respectively.
Hosted by BBC Hereford and Worcester’s Rory McCallister, the evening included a three-course dinner with speeches from coaches and players.
Tributes were paid to Lisa Campbell, who bows out of the game on the back of an illustrious playing career, while Carmen Tremelling, Akina Gondwe and Cara Brincat were given special mentions for reaching their 50th appearance.
