Duhan van der Merwe and Rory Sutherland named in Scotland squad

Warriors pair Duhan van der Merwe and Rory Sutherland have been included in Scotland’s 40-man squad for the summer tour to South America.

Scotland will play a three-Test series against Argentina on successive Saturdays next month which will be preceded by a match between Scotland A and Chile in Santiago on June 25.

Wing van der Merwe and loosehead prop Sutherland both toured South Africa with the British and Irish Lions shortly after they had joined Warriors from Edinburgh Rugby.

Van der Merwe has been capped 16 times by Scotland and Sutherland 18 times, the last of them against Wales in Cardiff in this season’s Guinness Six Nations when he suffered a fractured rib.
