Fin Smith starts for England Under-20s in summer series finale

Warriors fly-half Fin Smith will start for England Under-20s against hosts Italy in the third place play-off of the Six Nations Summer Series in Treviso on Tuesday.

Smith produced a brilliant individual performance in England’s final group match against Ireland in Verona last week but was unable to save them from an agonising one point defeat.

England have made four changes to the side with Sam Harris, Tom Carr-Smith, Lucas Brooke and Charlie Rice all moving from the bench to start and George Hendy switching from full-back to left wing.

“Although we were disappointed to concede four tries in the first half against Ireland, I thought we did well to score six of our own and get the bonus point,” said England Under-20s Head Coach Alan Dickens.

“Italy had a really good pool stage and we know they will give us a strong test, but we’ll be looking to finish the Summer Series on a real high.”
