Joined the club in 2017 at the inception of the Tyrrells Premier 15’s as the Development Team Coach before moving on to a transitional coach role with the centre of excellence alongside the Development Team position.
At the start of last season, Payne was promoted to Team Manager alongside his coaching positions, before relinquishing his coaching roles at the start of this year to become solely the Team Manager overseeing the entire Women’s section.
Payne left university to pursue a career in rugby and has been Head Coach at University of Warwick, Head of Women's Rugby at Aston University in addition to Forwards Coach for North Midlands County.
He recently left the Head of Rugby job at Birmingham City University to become the full-time Team Manager with Warriors Women.
