Rogerson returns for Warriors trip to Pirates

Worcester Warriors have made six changes to their side for the trip to Cornish Pirates in the Elior Champ Rugby this weekend. Warriors won the first meeting between the sides in December, and Saturday’s game marks the first trip down to Penzance since 2015. Amongst the six changes, Matt Rogerson returns for the first time since round one against Coventry.

Warriors run in twelve tries in victory over Cambridge

With the sun shining down on Sixways, Worcester ran in twelve tries to secure a dominant victory over Cambridge. A tight first-half saw the Warriors lead by just nine points, before running away with it in the second-half with free-flowing rugby bringing nine tries in the second period.

Worcester Warriors have made seven changes for their return to Champ Rugby action against Cambridge at Sixways. Warriors won 61-14 on their visit to Cambridge in November, after drawing 14-14 at the break and will be looking for a similar result this time around.

Worcester Rugby Football Club, now known as Worcester Warriors, was founded in 1871 by Rev Francis John Eld and the team played its first match in November of that year against the Royal Artillery Rugby Club.
The club faced challenges early on, including disbandment in 1896 and interruptions during the World Wars.
Despite these setbacks, the club grew steadily through the 20th century, developing strong teams and acquiring grounds such as Claines, Perdiswell, and Bilford Road.
