Pair of debutants for Warriors trip to Caldy
Friday 07 November 2025
Centre Rory Taylor makes his first appearance in a Worcester shirt as one of three changes to the starting XV that heads up to Caldy.
Taylor, who missed pre-season through injury, starts alongside Tom Seabrook in the twelve shirt.
Speaking ahead of his debut, Taylor said – “I’m really excited to finally get out there on Saturday – it’s been a long time coming.”
“Obviously, getting injured during pre-season was tough, but I’m buzzing to finally make my debut.”
After featuring for Loughborough University in BUCS Super Rugby, second-row Owain Evans also makes his competitive debut for the club, having started vs Bath in pre-season.
Evans lines up in the second row alongside Hallam Chapman, who starts again – shifting Tim Anstee back to flanker.
Anstee lines up in the back row again alongside Matt Kvesic and Khalik Kareem, with last week’s front-row Billy Keast, Will Biggs, and Ashley Challenger all starting again.
In the back-line, Will Lane and Tiff Eden continue their half-back partnership with Taylor and Seabrook in the centres.
The back three sees Will Trewin return on the wing with Jake Garside and Louis Brown alongside him.
Amongst the replacements, prop Finn Haynes is set for his Champ Rugby debut, where he’s joined by Austin Wallis, Livai Natave, Huw Taylor, Thabo Ndimande, Lloyd Williams, Will Reed, and last week’s debutant Chris Preen to round off the 23.
