Warriors name side for visit to Ampthill

Friday 30 January 2026

Worcester Warriors have made six changes to the side that lost to Hartpury last week, ahead of Saturday’s visit to Ampthill.

It’ll be the Warriors third meeting with Dave Ward’s side this season, having won 56-28 at Sixways in round three and also coming away victorious at Dillingham Park in pre-season.

Four changes come in the forward pack with Leicester loanee Cam Miell and Fraser Balmain coming into partner Austin Wallis in the front row.

James Tyas comes into the second-row, where he starts alongside Hallam Chapman with the final change seeing Thabo Ndimande start at flanker, shifting Matt Kvesic to number eight with ever-present Tim Anstee rounding off the pack in the six shirt.

Will Lane starts at scrum-half, where he partners Will Reed at fly-half, with the centre partnership of Rory Taylor and Tom Hendrickson remaining unchanged.

The final change to the starting line-up sees Uruguayan Juan González come in to start on the wing, where he’s joined by Josh Bassett and Will Trewin, who start once again.

Archie Vanes is set for a competitive Warriors debut off the bench, with second-row Tom Golder also set for a first appearance since coming off the bench against London Scottish in October.

Vanes and Golder are joined on the bench by Livai Natave, Tim Hoyt, Obinna Nkwocha, Jake Garside, Tiff Eden, and last week’s debutant Siva Naulago.
