Wallis grabs hat-trick as Warriors score ten vs Scottish
Saturday 14 February 2026
Worcester returned from their Friday night trip to the capital with ten tries and a bonus point victory over London Scottish.
Six first-half tries, including two from Austin Wallis, set the Warriors well on their way to victory, with Wallis completing his hat-trick in the second period.
It took just two minutes for the Warriors to open the scoring, and it came from former Scottish man Wallis as he picked the gap from the back of a ruck to run in, Will Reed adding the first of his seven conversions.
Worcester added a second ten minutes later, with Will Trewin going close after the ball was spread wide before scrum-half Will Lane sniped over.
The third try came halfway through the half when smart handling saw the Warriors through gaps in the Scottish defence with the ball eventually being spread wide to Roma Zheng, who strolled over.
Warriors then crossed for three tries in the space of five minutes, first a driving maul crept towards the line with the added impetus of the backs driving over Wallis for his second.
Rory Taylor picked the intercept from inside his own 22 before running in for Worcester’s fifth of the evening and a second in three minutes.
And when London Scottish kicked the restart straight out, smart work from Josh Bassett and captain Matt Kvesic to take the line-out quickly allowed the pair to link up almost unopposed, with Bassett dotting down for the sixth try of the half.
The Warriors started the second half strongly too, adding a further two tries in the opening ten minutes of the half, first fly-half Reed danced through the Scottish defence before captain Kvesic powered over from close range for the evening’s eighth try.
London Scottish did cross for a try of their own when Noah Ferdinand collected a grubber through from fly-half Harry Sheppard, but Worcester were soon back on the scoreboard with Wallis completing his hat-trick from the back of another driving maul.
And the driving maul was successful for the Warriors' final try of the night, this time debutant Corey Lewis dotted down to round off the ten-try performance and send the Warriors back to Worcester with five points.
