Warriors make nine changes for Cambridge trip
Friday 28 November 2025
Worcester Warriors make nine changes to their starting line-up to head to Cambridge in round eight of Champ Rugby.
James Tyas is set for his first competitive appearance of the season after last featuring against Bath in pre-season.
Tim Anstee shifts back to the second row to partner Tyas, with Bath loanee Tom Cowan making his Warriors debut at blindside flanker – Matt Kvesic and Thabo Ndimande round-out the back row.
The final changes in the forward pack sees Austin Wallis start at hooker, with Tim Hoyt returning after making his international debut for Fiji.
There’s a double change at half-back with Will Lane and Will Reed starting at 9 and 10 respectively.
James Short returns in the centres, where he partners Tom Seabrook – with Seabrook moving from outside centre to inside centre.
Also returning is Roma Zheng who starts on one wing, with Jake Garside once again starting on the other.
The final change to the starting line-up sees Will Trewin start at full-back after featuring off the bench last week.
On the bench, Bath loanee Jasper Spandler returns to a Warriors shirt, with Leicester Tigers loanee Cam Miell set for his Worcester debut.
Fin Haynes, Khalik Kareem, Lloyd Williams, Tiff Eden and Rory Taylor round-off the 23.
Speaking ahead of the game, Warriors fly-half Will Reed said, “I’m really excited – can’t wait to get out their with the boys and carry on the form we showed in glimpses in the first block.”
“We had a strong first block and took some really good learnings from it and I think we’ve carried those learnings and we’ve had a really good weeks prep, so we’re excited to go against Cambridge on Saturday.”
