Williams captains as Warriors head to Bedford
Friday 19 December 2025
Lloyd Williams will captain Worcester Warriors against Bedford Blues on Saturday, with the scrum-half returning as one of eight changes to the starting line-up.
Speaking ahead of the game, Williams said, “Off the back of last week, I think our boys are really excited to travel down to Bedford and give a good account of ourselves.”
“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to captain the side, we are very fortunate that we have a lot of leaders in the team, so I’ll have a lot of help on the day.”
Williams will be partnered at half-back by fellow Welshman Will Reed, who shifts back to fly-half from full back.
In the centres, Tom Seabrook returns to the starting line-up after featuring off the bench last week, with Billy Twelvetrees again starting alongside him.
It’s all change in the back three with Juan González, Jake Garside and Will Trewin all starting, with both González and Trewin returning to the matchday squad.
Heading into the pack, there are two changes in the front row with Livai Natave and Will Biggs starting after coming off the bench against Richmond, they’re joined by Fraser Balmain.
James Tyas and Obinna Nkwocha continue their partnership in the second-row with the final change coming at number eight, where Khalik Kareem joins Tim Anstee and Thabo Ndimande.
Jasper Spandler, Will Lane, Tiff Eden and James Short all remain in the 23 amongst the replacements, where they’re joined by Cam Miell, Tim Hoyt, Hallam Chapman and Austin Wallis.
