Worcester Warriors Appoint CJ Osazuwa as New Head of Community
Thursday 18 December 2025
Worcester Warriors are delighted to announce the appointment of CJ Osazuwa as the club’s new Head of Community, as the club continues to build an inclusive, ambitious and region-wide community strategy.
CJ joins Warriors with a wealth of experience across playing, coaching and community engagement, and brings a powerful personal journey that underpins his passion for making rugby accessible to all.
After leaving the sport at 17 to pursue semi-professional football, CJ returned to rugby at the age of 24, a turning point that reignited his passion. Within two months, he was playing in Scotland’s top league, later going on to represent Nigeria internationally and compete across the world, including tournaments in Dubai, Hong Kong, Kenya and Singapore.
His club career in England included spells at Gravesend, Richmond, Chinnor, Blackheath and Moseley, before transitioning into refereeing and coaching. CJ has since led Dudley Kingswinford to promotion and is currently coaching at Bournville alongside former Worcester Warrior Alex Grove.
Now stepping into his role at Worcester Warriors, CJ is excited to launch a renewed and ambitious community strategy across the region.
CJ Osazuwa said:
“Rugby gave me friendships, purpose and life skills that go far beyond the game. I’ve played at different levels, in different countries, and across very different communities and that’s shaped how I see the sport. Rugby is for every person and background.
Worcester Warriors are in an exciting, almost start-up phase again, and that creates a real opportunity to build something special with our schools, clubs, families and fans. I can’t wait to get started and help strengthen those connections across the region.”
Stephen Vaughan, CEO at Sixways commented:
"As part of our strategy to develop the future of rugby in this region, we set about putting the building blocks of a men’s professional side in place as a key milestone. This is now in full swing, and has been incredibly well supported. The next phase of the rugby strategy is to ensure Warriors are in the community, supporting and working alongside local clubs, schools, volunteers and businesses at a grassroots level to unlock ways in which rugby can address some of societies biggest challenges.
We will use Sixways and Warriors to engage and involve as many people as possible, develop meaningful initiatives and community programmes, as well as getting as many people to experience Warriors matches as possible. We will soon be announcing packages for clubs Mini’s and Juniors sections to take advantage of and get involved."
Rugby Camps Return in 2026
As part of this renewed community focus, Worcester Warriors are delighted to confirm the re-launch of Worcester Warriors Rugby Camps in 2026, hosted at Malvern College.
Families can pre-register their interest now via the Worcester Warriors website to be first to hear when camps go on sale, making this the perfect Christmas IOU to pop into the kids stockings this festive season: https://mailchi.mp/warriors.co.uk/warriors-rugby-camps
