Warriors announce signing of Charlie Chapman

Thursday 04 June 2026

Worcester Warriors are delighted to announce the signing of scrum-half Charlie Chapman from Exeter Chiefs ahead of the 2026/27 Champ Rugby season.

A product of the Gloucester Rugby academy, Chapman made his senior debut for the Kingsholm side in the Premiership Cup against Wasps back in October 2018 before going on to make his Premiership debut in February 2020 - crossing the try-line against London Irish.

In total, Chapman made nearly 100 appearances for the club, scoring thirteen tries before joining Exeter at the start of this season.

While at Exeter, Chapman has featured 19 tries for the Devon club across Prem Cup, Premiership and the Challenge Cup.

Speaking on his move to the Warriors, Charlie said, "I’m really excited to be joining Worcester Warriors.

"To join after the season they’ve had is great, and I’m motivated to help create more history for the group."

"See you soon at Sixways!"

Warriors Head Coach Matt Everard said on Charlie, "I've coached against Charlie a few times and he's really caught my eye.

“He's got this explosive speed, power and X-Factor as a running nine, but also has all the fundamentals every nine needs in his passing and kicking game,"

“Then meeting with Charlie it was clear he was going to be a brilliant person to have in the group, both off and on the field."
