Warriors announce signing of James Cherry

Worcester Warriors are delighted to announce the signing of back-row James Cherry from Nottingham ahead of the 2026/27 Champ Rugby season.

Cherry, a former captain of the University of Nottingham in BUCS Super Rugby, has been a mainstay of the Nottingham side since making his first league start for the Archers back in 2023.

He's also featured in the Premiership Cup for both Northampton Saints and Leicester Tigers.

This season, Cherry has grown into a try-scoring back-row, crossing for 19 tries so far this season - including three against the Warriors!

Speaking ahead of his move to Worcester, Cherry said; "It’s great to be signing with Worcester Warriors for the 2026/27 season."
