Warriors announce signings of Miell, Hawkins and Evans

Monday 04 May 2026

Worcester Warriors are delighted to announce the triple signing of Cam Miell, John Hawkins, and Owain Evans ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Miell and Evans are familiar faces to the Warriors fans, with both having featured on loan for the club this season.

Cam Miell joins from Leicester Tigers and has featured 11 times for the Warriors in the Champ this season.

The U'20 World Championship winning prop brings power around the park and is a huge anchor in the scrum. Speaking of his permanent arrival at Sixways, Miell said, "I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have signed for Worcester."

"It’s a club with so much to offer, a culture that inspires and a community I feel privileged to be part of."

"I’m excited to continue growing both as a player and as a person amongst such a great group of boys. I can’t wait to see how much we can achieve as a team next season."

Second-row John Hawkins joins Worcester from Prem side Newcastle Red Bulls, having also gained top-level experience at Bristol Bears.

Hawkins brings an impressive work rate around the park and is a strong set-piece operator.

Ahead of his move, Hawkins said, "I’m really excited to be joining Worcester!"

"When I spoke to Matt, and he explained the vision for the club, I knew I had to be a part of it."

The day's final signing sees the permanent arrival of Loughborough University second-row Owain Evans.

Fresh off starting for England Students, Evans captained Loughborough to a BUCS Super Rugby final and featured twice in the Champ for Warriors this season - making his debut in the late win away at Caldy.

Speaking on the permanent move to Sixways, Owain said, "I’m incredibly excited to be officially joining Worcester Warriors."

"I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to experience the incredible support and heritage of this club this season, and I can’t wait to experience it all next season."

"I’m fully committed to kick on my career at this club, and I can’t wait to see where this group can go."
