Making the move from Jaguar Land Rover, intellectual property (IP) and commercial lawyer Joanne Glaze has joined Harrison Clark Rickerbys to boost their strong commercial law team in Worcester.
Associate Richard Williams has also joined the Worcester team, bringing considerable experience both in the UK and abroad.
Joanne, a senior associate solicitor, spent ten years in leading Birmingham firms before moving in-house for five years where she worked for a leading data management business and automotive businesses TRW and Jaguar Land Rover.
She has a broad range of IP experience, including drafting and negotiating IP agreements, licences and sponsorship agreements, providing IP and advertising advice.
Her in-house experience has also provided her with commercial contracts and data protection experience.
She said: “It is a real pleasure to be back in private practice again – my time working in-house was invaluable, but I am enjoying the variety and challenge that working as part of such a strong and talented team brings me.”
Richard, who trained in London and specialised in commercial litigation, spent some time working in Bermuda before coming back to the UK and working both in legal practice and in industry.
Now focusing on commercial contracts, he brings his broad experience to the team, having acted for insurance companies, banks, building societies and developers, among others.
He said: “I am enjoying working with such a diverse and strong team and I look forward to extending my experience still further.”
