Hit the bar and won a car!

Who needs Crufts? Scooby-Doo was crowned Sixways top dog when he took on its infamous ‘Kick for a Car’ challenge and won having never touched a rugby ball with his paws before!

Dozens of Warriors fans have taken part in this season’s half-time competition, sponsored by the Hylton Group, where they have to try and hit the crossbar with a drop goal.
Matt Trobe first made history when he hit the bar at the Worcester versus Bath game on Saturday, March 3, sending the 10,000 strong crowd to their feet and ensuring him could drive home a new Subaru Impreza.
Then, just two weeks later, Worcester saw an even more unbelievable sight when supporter John Bailey, dressed as the world famous cartoon dog and accompanied by a sombrero-wearing, poncho-clad sidekick Stu Kilmister, also hit the crossbar.
Scooby-Doo can now trade in his crime fighting ‘Mystery Machine’ for a new motor thanks to Warriors and the Hylton Group.
But, despite being a dedicated Warriors fan, John revealed he has never actually played rugby himself and was literally shaking when he stepped onto the pitch.
“We only got picked because we looked stupid,” said John. “I’ve never touched a rugby ball in my life and cannot believe I hit the cross bar.”
